Santiago says after he was released, Mixed Martial Arts is what helped him stay focused and on the right track. He hopes telling his story will inspire others.

“I kind of feel like we are meant for something in life.We are all meant to give in some way. The chance to be able to pick someone up, play a positive part in someone’s growth, and give someone hope that they can overcome anything in life is priceless to me,” Santiago says.

Originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts, Santiago has moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to train with the best at the infamous Jackson Wink MMA Academy. He fights in two weight classes, 170 and 185.
